Chelsea’s head coach Thomas Tuchel has opened up on when the latest signing, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, would be fit to start his first game for the blues.
Chelsea FC’s boss Thomas Tuchel has opened up in his pre-match press conference held on Friday, September 2, 2022, ahead of the premier league fixture against West Ham, when the latest signing for Chelsea, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, would be fit enough to start.
Tuchel revealed that the former Arsenal and Barcelona forward would be forced to wear a mask following his fractured jaw; he also stated that how he plays with the mask will determine if he would be available for subsequent games.
He, however, confirmed that Aubameyang would not be available for the game against West Ham, scheduled for Kick off today, Saturday, September 3, 2022, but might be available for Chelsea’s first champions league game or the next premier league fixture.
Tuchel stated:
I think the very latest is after the international break but we try to push things and Auba is happy to push things. He is out there now at the specialist to get his mask done and then he tries I think Sunday in training.
We try with a mask, It depends a little bit on what the specialists say who create the mask for him and then how he adapts to the mask. Maybe it could be Tuesday [when Chelsea play in Zagreb] but this is very soon so maybe it is Fulham, maybe it is a week later.
