YouTube star KSI defeated both rapper Swarmz and professional fighter Luis Alcaraz Pineda in his ring return last night, and believes his power is now comparable to heavyweight star Wilder.
KSI believes his "dangerous" power is comparable to former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder after he recorded two stoppage victories last night.
The YouTube star - real name JJ Olatunji - made his ring return for the first time in 1000 days and defeated two fighters in the shape of novice rapper Swarmz and professional fighter Luis Pineda at London's O2 arena. They were KSI's second and third professional victories after he defeated YouTube rival Logan Paul in a sanctioned rematch back in 2019.
Despite picking up two victories, the fights were not considered a stern test of KSI's boxing credentials with Swarmz - real name Brendan Scott - yet to have fought in the ring, while Pineda had little to examine the resolve of the YouTuber. However KSI is certain that his opponent's felt his power and decided not to try and compete.
"These guys think they can mess with me, but once they feel the power, it's dangerous bro," Olatunji said in an interview after winning his second fight of the night. "I'm moving like Deontay Wilder in these streets man. It's scary, no-one wants it."
Wilder is arguably the most powerful puncher in the latest era of heavyweights having recorded 41 KO victories and having also fought in an epic trilogy with current champion Tyson Fury. KSI has fought in five fights in total since his YouTube boxing career began with two white-collar bouts against Joe Weller and Paul, with a draw in the first setting up their professional rematch.
KSI's main focus is to finally settle his rivalry with bitter foe Jake Paul next year, but he will likely fight at least twice before then before calling out his fellow content creator to a mega-fight. After the final bell last night, KSI delivered a hit-list which included controversial former kickboxer Andrew Tate, professional fighter Tommy Fury and YouTuber Slim Albaher who defeated FaZe Temperrr on last night's card.
