Enugu state governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and his Abia State counterpart Okezie Ikpeazu have been lambasted by activist, Deji Adeyanju for not supporting Igbo Presidency.
Deji questioned the two Igbo governors over their refusal to show support for Peter Obi’s presidency.
He also expressed disappointment with their attitude toward the presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 elections.
Comrade Adeyanju made the submission on Friday via his verified Twitter handle where he added that if Engr, Dave Umahi was still in PDP, he won’t act like them, noting that the Igbos have sacrificed everything for other zones.
He said, they voted Yorubas in the past and supported the North and South, but now that it is time to stand with them, the governors are not doing so.
He said; “PDP PRIMARIES: What kind of Igbos are this? Both Abia and Enugu governors are not supporting one of their own contesting for president. I’m sure if Umahi was still in PDP, he won’t act like them. Igbos have sacrificed everything for other zones.
“They voted Yorubas in the past, supported North & South-South, now that it is time to stand with them; even their own governors are not doing so.”
